The brioche which was thick and fluffy was thoroughly soaked in egg mixture and then pan fried in butter to a lovely golden brown. The buttery fragrance was intoxicating. I loved the somewhat crispy crust on the outside and that softness and pillowy-ness on the inside. Dunking it into maple syrup was just heavenly. The banana was sliced length-wise before pan-frying and that also brought out its sweetness even more.
My only gripe was that the bacon that was supposed to be crispy wasn’t crispy at all but nonetheless, it was still good because it gave a contrasting salty flavour to this otherwise sweet fare.
